Courts and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013

The Courts and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 (the “Act”) was signed into law by the President on 25 July 2013. Certain Parts of the Act take effect on the date it was signed by the President, others are due to come into operation by Commencement Order. Key provisions of the Act include:
- Appointment of two additional Surpreme Court Judges (Commencement: on the date the Act was signed by the President).
- Transfer of the existing Office of the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy to the Insolvency Service (Commencement: by Ministerial Order).
