Brian is a Partner in our Corporate team where he manages a broad-based corporate and commercial practice. Brian advises many leading Irish and international companies on mergers and acquisitions and equity investments.
Brian has extensive experience in private companies in many sectors, including technology, pharmacy & veterinary, biotechnology, food and beverage, manufacturing and renewable energy, on a wide range of matters such as raising finance, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs, restructuring and corporate governance.
Brian also advises extensively on corporate governance, commercial disputes, disputes between directors and shareholders, minority oppression actions in addition to directors and fiduciary duties. Prior to joining the firm, Brian ran his own corporate law firm for over 10 years and prior to that was a partner in another large Irish law firm.
Brian qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and holds degrees in Politics and Law, masters in Commercial Law and Criminology and diplomas in Psychology, International Arbitration and Notarial Law and Practice. Brian also established the National Solicitors Alliance made up of 50 independent law firms across Ireland to deliver local “boots on the ground” services to national and multi-national clients. Brian is a Notary Public and a Chartered Arbitrator, as well as a solicitor. Brian is also qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales and Northern Ireland and is a member of the American Bar Association. Brian also appears in international legal directories and has been recommended in The Legal 500 EMEA.
