Court halts liquidation of aviation company linked to controversial Russian businessman

Colin Hayes, associate in our Dispute Resolution team, recently acted on behalf of a multinational air cargo company in securing an interim injunction restraining an Irish registered Aviation Leasing company from holding a General Meeting for the purpose of passing a resolution to wind up the company, and appointing joint Liquidators.  The application for this interim injunction was made to the High Court on an urgent basis in circumstances where the meeting was scheduled for the following day and in light of a previous interim injunction which we had obtained against the same company and other related entities last October.  The successful application to the High Court was reported by the media – click here to read more.
