The Art of Buying or Selling a Business

Whitney Moore co-hosted a series of seminars in Dublin and Limerick entitled “The Art of Buying or Selling a Business”. The seminars were of particular interest to business owners thinking of growing their existing business by acquisition, or business owners who are keen to exit and realise value from their business. The seminars were run jointly by Whitney Moore, Davy Private Clients (the Wealth Management Division of the Davy Group), Close Brothers (Commercial Finance Providers) and Focus Business Sales & Acquisitions (Specialist Business Brokers).
Each seminar was split into two sessions: the morning session covered the process of identifying and buying the right business at the right price, the legal aspects of a purchase and the methods of financing a purchase. The afternoon session concentrated on selling a business; including valuing and marketing a business, the legal aspects of a sale and how best to invest the sale proceeds to maximise returns from a capital sum.
