Sophie is an Associate in our corporate team. She regularly advises on advises on buying and selling businesses, mergers and acquisitions, investment rounds, joint venture agreements, commercial contracts, fintech, technology contracts and corporate governance issues.

Sophie regularly acts in both share and asset sales and acquisitions. She advises both buyers and sellers and has a wide range of expertise in the field of mergers and acquisitions. As part of this, Sophie has advised on restructuring of company groups.

Sophie acts for a range of clients from start-up level to emerging high-growth companies, across sectors including Technology, Fintech, Retail, Property and Charities. Sophie works with companies advising on corporate governance issues, funding rounds, shareholders’ agreements, employee share option plans and commercial contracts.

Sophie regularly advises on investment agreements with angel investors, venture capital investors and Enterprise Ireland.

Sophie also advises on information technology contracts and online sales, website terms and conditions of sale, software development and software licensing, franchising, agency, distribution, intellectual property, B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) contracts, non-disclosure agreements and bespoke commercial agreements.

Sophie has an interest in Blockchain technology. She is an experienced public speaker and has delivered seminars on Blockchain technology.

Sophie has a BCL (Hons) Degree from University College Dublin. Sophie qualified as a Barrister in 2013 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2016. Sophie is a qualified Mediator with a Masters in Dispute Resolution. Sophie is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. In 2012, she was first runner up for the Tony Curtis Young Professional award with CEDR.
